The “No-Makeup” Makeup Look Series: Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

Today, I’m going to talk about the mascara that I use to achieve that “No-Makeup” Makeup Look:

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara (in Black at Watsons for PHP 399 or USD 10)

I know, I know.. You’re probably thinking ‘”Falsies” as in “fake lashes”? So NOT natural at all.” I have naturally long eyelashes, and I am here to tell you that this mascara absolutely brings wonders to my eyes, not in an artificial kind of way. It makes my eyes even bigger than they already are, and i just really get that extra confidence from using it. It’s got a fan brush that lifts your eyelashes. The consistency of the mascara leans toward the waxy side which is why it really does volumize the lashes. Also, your lashes get that extra length because of the fibers that are in it. I got the waterproof formula, and it really stays on and doesn’t leave any flakes under my eyes.

So what I do is to basically curl my lashes with an eyelash curler that I bought from my condo’s Ministop, a convenience store in the Philippines, for about PHP 40 or USD 1. After, I apply 2-3 coats of mascara in a zigzag manner to get that really volumized look, and I’m good to go! How do I remove it? I only use baby oil to take them off!

I really have no complaints about this mascara. And although I am running out of it already, I got a new Maybelline The Rocket Mascara to try and for me to review in my upcoming posts!

Remember, always make an effort to make your eyes pretty because that’s one of the first things people really notice about you. Eye contact, people! Even just curling your lashes make a huge difference.

The blush is on for next time’s post šŸ™‚
